717 / IMPLEMENTATION

A practical route from club to country.

Simple responsibilities at the club. Shared standards across the programme. Central oversight at the national association.

THE RECORDING SETUP

One wide view.
A manageable club routine.

Start with equipment that can capture a complete, usable match from a stable, elevated position.

CAPTURE

One fixed camera

A suitable action camera or an existing recording system, qualified for the required view and image quality.

POSITION

An 8 m central position

The recommended camera height is 8 m, using a stable, safely installed mast or tripod at halfway. Keep one fixed wide view, with pitch coverage and framing checked locally before recording.

CONTRIBUTE

Upload after the match

Record locally. Transfer the file later using an available internet connection and resumable upload.

Could a club use its existing phone? Yes—subject to qualification.

A modern phone is a candidate if it meets the programme’s requirements for field of view, far-side detail, continuous recording, heat control, power, storage and a stable mount. Compatibility is confirmed through representative recording tests.

Equipment compatibility is being validated. Existing footage must meet the capture requirements and be authorised for processing; a cropped follow-cam export may not provide the required evidence.

ASSOCIATION ROLLOUT

Agree the ambition.
Activate in manageable waves.

Contract for the intended programme coverage, then introduce clubs through a phased activation schedule.

  1. 01

    Define the programme

Agree the age bands, participating clubs, data responsibilities and the national development questions to answer.

  2. 02

    Qualify the capture

Test representative club footage, camera placement, roster information and the quality of accepted evidence.

  3. 03

    Enable the clubs

Configure access, connect fixtures and rosters, and give each club a clear recording and upload guide.

  4. 04

    Activate in phases

Introduce clubs in planned waves under one association agreement. Track readiness, contribution and support needs.

  5. 05

    Operate centrally

Automate routine processing and reporting. Review exceptions and improve the programme using measured participation and workload.

CLEAR RESPONSIBILITIES

A small task at each club.
A connected national operation.

The club

Prepare the view, confirm the roster, record, upload and respond to specific capture feedback.

The association

Set programme standards, activate clubs, oversee permissions and use the evidence for development decisions.

717

Provide the platform, automate routine processing and monitoring, and focus support on exceptions.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you begin.

Does recording need pitch-side internet?

No. The first capture workflow records locally and uploads after the match. Local checks verify the view and equipment before kick-off; they are separate from an internet livestream.

Must the association buy a new camera for every club?

No. Qualifying equipment and suitable existing footage can be considered. Any optional equipment supply is scoped separately; there is no blanket requirement to replace cameras that meet the capture standard.

Will every player need a manual federation review?

No. Routine processing is automated. Human attention is reserved for exceptions, additional context and the football decisions that require it.

How is a programme priced?

An annual association platform fee plus marginal per-club fees, applied to the agreed programme. Implementation is scoped separately. Contracts define the activation schedule, service commencement and included processing allowance.

When can our association start?

717 is in development. We are discussing programme requirements and representative validation with European associations. Commercial service starts after the relevant technical validation and agreed acceptance milestones; dates and deliverables are set in the association agreement.
